The operation of AI PVM typically involves several key steps. Initially, high-resolution PVM cameras capture continuous footage of the monitored areas. Next, specialized AI algorithms process these video feeds in real-time, breaking down the footage into identifiable patterns and distinct objects, such as people, faces, mask, object, or gun.

Consequently, these systems’ ability to leverage advanced pattern recognition techniques enables them to rapidly compare current observations with learned models to detect situations that might represent security threats.

HOW AI PVM DETECTS GUN THREATS
AI PVM’s Threat Detection software employs a multi-dimensional approach, pinpointing not only guns but also potential threat personnel.
STEP 1 DETECTION
ViewZ AI PVM can monitor streaming video feeds for firearms and immediately notify facility administrators & customers.
STEP 2 VERIFICATION
All AI PVM firearm detections are reviewed immediately through ViewZ IMS (CMS program) or AI PVM’s own function. Administrators or technicians only review images in which suspected firearms are detected.
STEP 3 RESPONSE
Once a technician/administrator verifies a suspected firearm, AI PVM systems immediately (often within 3-5 seconds) notify facility administrators and law enforcement, who are told the number and location of suspected shooters.

The resulting shooter detection takes place in fractions of a second.

Data-enriched intelligence is then automatically shared with a security operations center, or to one of AI PVM’s five-diamond certified monitoring centers, for real-time verification.
